Services
Apical Tree Service offers comprehensive tree care solutions for residential and commercial properties.
All services are performed with a focus on safety, efficiency, and long-term results.

Tree Removal
We provide safe and efficient tree removal for hazardous, dead, or just unwanted trees. Our team specializes in technical removals, including trees located near homes, structures, and fences. Every removal is carefully planned to minimize risk and protect surrounding property and trees.

Tree Pruning & Trimming
Proper pruning improves tree health, structure, and appearance while reducing the risk of failure. We use industry-approved pruning techniques to promote healthy growth, remove hazardous limbs, and maintain natural form. We will never use spikes on your trees when pruning, as this can lead to unnecessary stress and unwanted disease.

Storm & Emergency Services
Storms can leave trees damaged, unstable, or blocking access. Apical Tree Service offers prompt emergency response to safely remove fallen or hazardous trees and restore safety to your property as quickly as possible.

Lot Clearing & Maintenance
Our Approach
Led by an ISA Certified Arborist, our tree health and risk assessments provide property owners with clear, professional insight into the condition of their trees and overall landscape. We evaluate tree health, structure, growth patterns, and surrounding conditions to identify potential hazards, disease, or long-term concerns before they become costly problems.
More than just an inspection, this process is collaborative. Our arborist works directly with you as the homeowner to understand your goals—whether that’s improving safety, preserving mature trees, enhancing aesthetics, or planning future improvements. Based on these priorities, we help develop a practical, long-term plan that makes sense for your property and works within your budget.
Our recommendations are clear, honest, and never one-size-fits-all. In many cases, issues can be addressed through targeted pruning or maintenance rather than removal. When removal is necessary, we explain why and outline the safest, most cost-effective approach.
The way Apical Tree Service does assessments empowers homeowners with the information needed to make confident decisions about tree maintenance, treatment, or removal—now and in the future.
About Apical
Apical Tree Service is owned and operated by Charlie Bradford, an ISA Certified Arborist bringing over eight years of professional tree care experience and a decade of landscaping expertise. Originally from Vermont, Charlie grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors—an appreciation that continues to shape both his work and his life today.
Charlie moved to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to his now-wife, Gina, and quickly found a sense of home in the surrounding mountains, forests, and community. His passion for being outside carries into everything he does, whether he’s skiing in the winter, camping with his family, or caring for trees with the attention and respect they deserve.
As an arborist, Charlie believes proper tree care starts with understanding – not guesswork. He takes the time to evaluate each property thoroughly, explain options clearly, and work directly with homeowners to create practical plans that align with their goals and budgets. He prides himself on being honest, reliable, and straightforward, never recommending unnecessary work.
When he’s not on the job, Charlie enjoys spending time with his family—his wife Gina, daughter Lucy, and two dogs, Tyro and Red. As a local business owner, he’s committed to serving the community with integrity, clear communication, and high-quality work—treating every property as if it were his own.
